It was a beautiful bluebird New Year’s eve in Whistler, who wouldn’t want to say their “I do’s” surrounded by 10,000 bottles of the finest wine in the world! Chris & Jacqueline and an intimate crowd of 18 guests gathered in the world renowned Bearfoot Bistro wine cellar for a romantic ceremony followed by a twist on the ol’ ‘cutting of the cake’; sabering a bottle of Champagne. Lead by the Bistro’s founder Andre St. Jacques, he regaled a tale Napoleons officers and the history of the celebratory tradition of sabering. The bride and groom and other guests took a liking to their new party trick! Following the celebration, guests ventured through the snow to Hy’s Steak house where they enjoyed an intimate 5-course meal, incredible wines and danced well past midnight!
